Fittonia flammule
All fittonia’s are loved for their beautiful bright and contrasting foliage and can be used in hanging basket, pots and terrariums.
They prefer indirect, bright light, but can grow in areas with less light, but will get bigger leaves and the pattern and colour may fade. They will thrive in well-draining, peat-based, moist soil and never soggy Your fittonia leaves will droop if you have forgotten to water, but don’t let the roots dry out completely. Feed with liquid fertilizer every 30-60 days. Pinching back the tops of new growth will maintain a more compact plant. Propagation is done easily from stem cuttings.
Prone to root-rot and draughts
